Bear Pond

Bob's sister and family are visiting again from Dee-Cee and we had a wonderful excursion today to Bear Pond. As a general rule, I dislike canoeing. But, with 7 adults and three canoes, I was released from the obligation to paddle and found the experience much more enjoyable. We put in at Upper St. Regis and carried over to Bog Pond and then carried again into Bear Pond. There was swimming and picnicking and pitcher plants and a beautiful blue sky day.

I haven't canoed in years. Is Bear the pond that is so clear? Brought back fond memories.

@Cedar: Bob remembers Bear Pond as crystal clear; it wasn't yesterday. That could be because the pond was at least 3 feet higher than 'normal' or some other changes in the pond area. I wonder if anyone knows and can comment?
