White vinyl? Eeeeeeeeck!

@ Anonymous: White vinyl was a steal at local business that had them special-ordered and then rejected by other purchaser. Other windows not white. (and not next to the white once room divisions are in).

New construction, remember... no reason to think historic preservation, no reason to try to hunt down new wood frame windows from some distant purveyor. I'm well-versed in the reasons why vinyl is sometimes a worse choice. Not in this case. Trust me - au-naturale hubby would have gone with home-made glass and beaver-honed wood frames if it made sense. =)

White vinyl against the brown logs is perfectly fine. I'm sure they are a good grade of window and will keep out cold northern winters. Anonymous... it's a real home, ..relax!

Annonymous... Sometimes all wood gets a little tiring! Sometimes you need some contrast! However, on my cabin I will be putting in wood windows but they will be painted green on the exterior.
