Bob and his father have been wiring and drywalling fools this week!   No only are the walls of the Tardis shower up in the upstairs bathroom, but they've finished all the walls in the upstairs bathroom, and have started on the first floor bathroom walls!

Upstairs bathroom --  sink will go against far wall; laundry chute opening is at left, as are the fan/heater (missing its cover) and the built-in drawers (missing the... well, drawers).

Upstairs bathroom looking out into the master bedroom -- stall shower is at left, soaking tub is at right.

This is the first floor bathroom -- say goodbye to the logs!!

Tub-Shower will be at left, linen closet to the right of the window and at the far right is the laundry chute,

This new development is either:

1)  my very own Tardis

2)  a very small panic room

3)  the upstairs shower

4)  a stationary elevator

Guess which!

Oh my.

You know it's been crazy warm when the ICE IS OUT IN MID-MARCH!!!!!

I know that some lakes at higher elevations in the Adirondacks still have some ice, but it's melting fast in Paul Smiths too....

Plus, do you know what else is gone, much to Bob's dismay?    No, 'dismay' is too mild....   horror?  soul-crushing reality?     ....   the sap stopped running.  If there's no more syrup season this year... and it looks like this might be it...  then we have made a grand total of like 6 gallons of syrup.

I may have to take The Husband to therapy.

It's March 13 and it smells like May.   You know:  you go outside and it's unexpectedly warm and it just smells warmer... like when you drive south in the winter and get out of the car for a long-awaited rest break and the temp is 20 degrees warmer than the last pee stop?     Hello?  Am I the only one here?

Moving on.

I can now throw laundry from the first floor bathroom down the chute into the basement!

And in other news:

Artsy fartsy

Can you see it?

It's Bob at the bottom of the laundry chute, looking up at me, who is standing on the 2nd floor at the top of the chute.

Well, it looked artsy fartsy to me.  *humph*

In which Anne feels like doing some laundry

Can't you just see dirty socks hurtling out of that laundry chute and into the waiting basket below?   Instead of hanging around on the floor for days until I get disgusted and go around muttering and picking them up and growling at the offending family members?     *Ahem*   Sorry about that.

Laundry, shoot!

The shoot! because lookit:

John Sheetmetalguy already finished our laundry chute!    Shoot, that's quick work!

And now for my campaign of begging, cajoling, and wheedling to get The Hubs to make a rotating bookcase that hides a door to somewhere.  ANYWHERE!   It must happen.
